0 AS

On the continent of Pyrrhia, an event called the Scorching takes place, where dragons defeat the scavengers and are the dominant species on the continent. After this, the tribes are formed, and queens are chosen.

In between 0 AS and 3000 AS

LeafWings and BeetleWings (and some ancient RainWings) are exiled and fly to another continent, Pantala, though they find that it is ruled by a mysterious creature known as the Othermind, who has telepathic control of the plants and animals of Pantala. The two dragon tribes defeat the Othermind and drive a special plant known as The Breath of Evil to near extinction, and make the newly-discovered continent their home.

3006 AS

Four NightWing diplomats, including Foeslayer, are sent to the Ice Kingdom. Foeslayer wanders off and meets the animus IceWing Prince Arctic. They fall in love with each other and end up escaping from the kingdom, though they end up killing several guards and permanently damaging Snowflake's wing. Queen Diamond, Arctic's mother, lies to her tribe, saying that Foeslayer stole Prince Arctic to make animus dragonets with him, causing a war and a deep hatred between the two tribes.

3007 AS

Arctic and Foeslayer's son Darkstalker hatches on the brightest night, and is gifted with the power of mind-reading and precognition, as well as animus power from his father. His sister Whiteout hatches a day later.

3008 AS

Prince Fathom of the SeaWings discovers that he is an animus. He trains under his animus grandfather Albatross and aids him with the construction of the Summer Palace.

3011 AS

Albatross, having gone insane, kills most of the royal SeaWing family, as well as a musician and a SkyWing diplomat. Albatross is killed by Fathom, though he lets his friend Indigo take the credit, and she is hailed as a hero. Fathom's sister Pearl ascends to the throne at only five years old, as one of the few survivors of the massacre.

A dragonet named Clearsight with abnormally powerful precognition goes to school for the first time, where she meets Darkstalker, who is destined to become her soulmate. Darkstalker shows her his scroll, which contains his animus powers so he won't become insane and lose his soul like Albatross. Arctic finds out about Darkstalker's powers while the two dragonets are playing with the scroll, and he reports it to Queen Vigilance.

3012 AS

Fathom is sent to the Night Kingdom to deal with Darkstalker and befriend him to make sure he does not go insane. Indigo, now a bodyguard, accompanies him, as well as two other bodyguards. Indigo is immediately suspicious of Darkstalker, so he decides to make his scales to be invincible so that she does not kill him.

Clearsight has now become a head seer to Queen Vigilance.

Queen Diamond ends up capturing Foeslayer, sending her to the Ice Kingdom and enchanting her to be trapped in an ice tunnel and to never truly die, only freezing into the ice in excruciating pain when she is killed. This is known as The Diamond Trial, and would later be used as a way for young IceWings to move up in the tribe's hierarchy as a last resort. Darkstalker is enraged, but can do nothing.

Fearing Indigo, Darkstalker traps her into a wooden carving, and tricks Fathom into believing that she left him.

Hoping to save Foeslayer, Arctic takes Whiteout to the Ice Kingdom with him. A furious Darkstalker finds out, and takes the two back to the Kingdom of Night, and forces Arctic to disembowel himself in front of a crowd. Fathom figures out what happened to Indigo and frees her before the two flee.

Clearsight tells her best friend to convince the NightWings to leave the Night Kingdom for the safety of a volcanic island. Clearsight traps Darkstalker under Jade Mountain with an enchanted bracelet to put him to sleep forever.

Clearsight flies to Pantala, saving the locals from a hurricane. She falls in love with a BeetleWing named Sunstreak, and the two have dragonets together. Using her precognition, she writes a book about her predictions of the future called the Book of Clearsight.

She is later worshiped by the Pantalans and the Book of Clearsight is treated as sacred text.

4962 AS

The Tree Wars take place on Pantala. Queen Wasp of the HiveWings demands that the SilkWings and LeafWings bow down to her as the ruler of Pantala, claiming that the Book of Clearsight predicted it. The SilkWings accept. However, the LeafWings refuse, causing them to be nearly completely wiped out and all trees are cut down, except those in The Poison Jungle. The LeafWings are believed to be extinct, and Queen Wasp now rules two tribes.

4992 AS

Palm flees from the SandWing palace after she is caught in a forbidden relationship with Prince Smolder. She seeks refuge in the hut of her twin sister Prickle, though escapes after Prickle is accidentally arrested. Palm flies to the Claws of the Clouds Mountains to raise her daughter.

Three scavenger siblings, Heath, Stone, and Rose break into the SandWing palace to steal some of Queen Oasis' treasure. They kill Oasis and take her treasure, but Rose is captured by the SandWings in the process and is believed to be dead by her brothers. Heath and Stone return to their hometown, Valor, and Heath is hailed as a hero, becoming known as The Dragonslayer for his legendary feat.

Following their mother's death, Burn, Blister, and Blaze all declare themselves as the next queen.

4993 AS

Blister allies herself with the SeaWings and MudWings. Burn follows suit and becomes allies with the SkyWings, and Blaze allies herself with the IceWings and has the support of the majority of the SandWings. The War of SandWing Succession begins.

5001 AS

Morrowseer and Queen Battlewinner of the NightWings come up with the Dragonet Prophecy as a plan to take over the rainforest into their home. The prophecy says that in eleven years' time, five dragonets will be born to end the war. The NightWings secretly ally themselves with Blister, and plan for her to win the war by manipulating the dragonets into choosing her. Morrowseer delivers the prophecy to the world, and joins a rebel group called the Talons of Peace.

Animus NightWing Stonemover is tasked to make tunnels that connect the Night, Sand, and Rain Kingdoms.

5003 AS

Trainee assassin Deathbringer and his mother Quickstrike are sent to kill Commander Tempest of the SeaWings. Deathbringer succeeds, while Quickstrike is killed by lightning. The MudWings leave Blister's side, and join Burn's side after Burn threatens them. Deathbringer becomes a full assassin at only four years old.

Princess Orca of the SeaWings enchants of a statue of her to kill all female heirs born in the SeaWing Royal Hatchery. Her mother Queen Coral is challenged by Orca for the SeaWing throne. Coral accidentally kills Orca by stabbing her with a narwhal horn, though Orca's animus-enchanted statue kills off Coral's female heirs.

5004 AC

A SkyWing named Kestrel's egg hatches, revealing two twin dragonets, one with too much fire and one with too little fire. She escapes, but Queen Scarlet tracks her, telling Kestrel that if she kills one of her dragonets, she will be able to return to the Sky Kingdom and be forgiven. Kestrel hides the dragonet with no fire and claims that she killed him, but Scarlet changes her mind. Kestrel is forced to leave the other dragonet behind with Scarlet and escapes, joining the Talons of Peace.

A seven-year-old scavenger named Wren is set to be sacrificed to the dragons. Wren escapes her village and flees, finding Kestrel's abandoned dragonet. Rescuing him, Wren names the dragonet Sky and decides to start a new life with him away from humans. Wren's brother Leaf, having told that Wren was eaten by dragons, declares that he hates dragons and vows to slay them like the Dragonslayer.

Stonemover flees to Jade Mountain and enchants his scales to slowly turn into stone.

5005 AS

Cattail sells her egg, and her sister Asha buys it. She gets caught in the middle of a battle. She is able to deliver the egg safely to the Talons of Peace, but dies of her wounds.

Webs abandons his tribe in the middle of a battle and steals an egg from the SeaWing Royal Hatchery.

Hvitur steals a SkyWing egg, but is caught by Burn. Burn kills Hvitur and the egg, and Webs steals a replacement egg from the RainWings.

Morrowseer delivers a NightWing egg to the Talons of Peace.

Dune steals the egg of Thorn, the leader of a group of SandWIngs known as the Outclaws.

All five eggs hatch on the brightest night, and The Dragonet Prophecy is fulfilled.

Scarlet commands Kestrel's dragonet, Peril, to burn all SkyWing eggs to be hatched on the brightest night. Scarlet's daughter Princess Tourmaline mysteriously disappears, and Tourmaline's sister Ruby believes that Peril killed her.

5008 AS

A NightWing named Secretkeeper flees from the volcano into the rainforest, where her daughter Moonwatcher hatches. Moonwatcher is born under the light of two full moons, and receives the power of mind-reading and precognition, becoming the first NightWing in two thousand years to have those powers.

5009 AS

King Gill sends his son Prince Turtle to get a guard, Snapper, to protect the eggs in the SeaWing Royal Hatchery, since the current guard Abalone is sick. Turtle fails to do so, and the eggs containing females are killed. Gill is furious at Turtle, and Coral has Abalone and Snapper executed. She promises Gill that their next daughter, Anemone, will survive.

5010 AS

Hailstorm and his younger brother Winter go to the Sky Kingdom to look for a scavenger den. They are spotted by SkyWings, who capture Hailstorm and let Winter go. Hailstorm is taken to the palace, and a mask is put on him, changing his identity to Pyrite.

Thorn buys Qibli, a young SandWing dragonet, from his abusive mother Cobra, and he joins the Outclaws.

Gill is captured by SkyWings and sent into Scarlet's arena.

5011 AC

Turtle enchants his sister Princess Anemone to be an animus so his animus powers aren't discovered.
