The other dragonets named Glory.
The Talons of Peace never cared about Glory, so why would they have given her such a nice name? They probably didn't name her at all. Instead, the other dragonets took it upon themselves to research RainWing names, and they gave Glory her name.
The RainWings Will Be Key To Defeating The Othermind

During an interview, Tui Sutherland confirmed that the original dragons to arrive on Pantala included some RainWings, though they might have been bred out or otherwise killed sometime before Clearsight's arrival. This is referenced briefly in The Poison Jungle, when the LeafWing Queen explains that ancient BeetleWings and LeafWings defeated the Othermind with the help of dragons who spat venom. I think this may be setting up for when the RainWings become key to defeating the Othermind at the end of the last arc.

A new animus will be born
If I remember correctly, jeroba ii's spell was worded to depower current animus dragons, not future ones.

Darkstalker removed any feelings Moon may have had for Winter
Seems like something he'd do considering how he dislikes IceWings. Making this worse is the fact that Moon decided on Qibli some time after Darkstalker was removed... when she'd have no reason to wear the Spellproof earring anymore.

If I had to guess, he'd have (hypothetically) done it after Thorn made Winter immune to his brainwash spell. That way he could direct Moon to Qibli so he wouldn't need Winter alive anymore...

  • Jossed. in The Dangerous Gift its revealed that Qibli's earrings erased all of Darkstalker's enchantments Permanently.

Tui said that she wanted the funny guy to win Moon's heart.

Onyx is the daughter of Palm and Prince Smolder
We know that Palm and Smolder attempted to elope, but were caught in the act, and Palm disappeared. She was presumed dead, killed by Queen Oasis. But what if she was only exiled? Onyx is nineteen years old, that event happened twenty years ago, and dragon eggs take a year to incubate. We also know that Palm and her mother were rogues, wandering the desert until the end of the war, when the succession crisis was resolved. This would also explain Onyx's strange desire to take the throne; she would be the true heir.
  • Confirmed

The SeaWing in Clearsight's visions isn't Fathom
While it is a fairly minor point, Clearsight has a small prophecy during Darkstalker; "The seawing is death, the seawing is salvation. Don't let him come; he must come or all is lost." This could refer, not just to Fathom, but to another SeaWing animus prince. Turtle. Look:
  • While he did save Kinkajou with his healing rock (He must come or all is lost + The seawing is salvation) he also brought Peril, who burnt Darkstalker's scroll and freed him (Don't let him come + The seawing is death).
  • Further support in Turtle's actions in Talons of Power- getting Anemone to heal Kinkajou completely and making her (and Quibli) immune to Darkstalker's magic. (He must come or all is lost)
  • Jossed. She can't see that far.
    • Not clearly, but it could've been a vision. It fits pretty well.

The Darkstalker will be the villain of books six to ten.
Ominous, incredibly powerful villain supposedly sealed away? How could that not be setup for a new villain?
  • Given his role in Moon Rising, he could well turn out to be an Evil Mentor. Moon even acknowledges this.
  • No, because Darkstalker was only freed recently by Peril in Escaping Peril.
  • Confirmed

The "lost city of night" is the original NightWing home.
Morrowseer mentioned being there when the NightWings moved to their current home, indicating that they did so recently. So maybe the "lost city of night" line in the new prophecy refers to that place.
  • Confirmed

'Scavenger' is a general term for all primates, not just humans.
Firstly, it would make thematic sense: we refer to dragons by one common name, without considering breed or species. Given that dragons are the dominant species on Pyrrhia, they might do the same for us. (Biology is obviously not very advanced on their planet.)
Secondly, the scavenger Bandit is much too small to be human. He scurries through the caves of Jade Mountain, unnoticed by most dragons- and is apparently small enough to fit inside a young dragon's paws! Unless we assume that adult dragons are higher than trees and shake the ground with their tread (an idea which has no basis in canon), their relative sizes simply do not make sense.
  • It's possible Bandit could just be a young Scavenger, since he was found in the Ice kingdom, which would be too cold for most primates
  • Monkeys are mentioned in The Hidden Kingdom and treated as different from scavengers, so this is probably not true.

Peril will join up with the Jade Winglet.
They need a SkyWing, since Carnelian's dead, and Peril's gotten a lot of screentime in both series. I don't think the author is done with her.
  • Tui has confirmed she'll be the viewpoint for book 8.
  • Confirmed in Book 10, when she becomes a student at Jade Mountain Academy and part of the Jade Winglet.

Pyrrhia has a high oxygen level
Which explains how every grows so big. (In Moon Rising, a blueberry was described as the same size as a human,s hand)
  • You mean, everything has a high carbon dioxide level, as plants don't take in oxygen. If dragons breathe both carbon dioxide and oxygen, this could help explain how they managed to grow larger and take over the world. The humans population would get small due to lack of oxygen while dragons would benefit from it. However, what is probably more likely is that there is something supernatural about sunlight, which is what plants fed off of, and this could explain why plants are able to produce so much fruit and also why scavengers might hide due to having weaker skin. Something supernatural or magical about the sun could have also caused lizards, such as dragons, who sun bathe in the sun a lot, to mutate into fire-breathing lizards or give them magical abilities.

There were more tribes in Pyrrhia.
This may be a stretch, but it has been implied that an animus can wipe out entire tribes, and affect one's memories, so what stops an animus from destroying a tribe and making everyone forget they existed?
  • Somewhat confirmed. (Teases at another series.)
  • Confirmed with the existence and exile of the BeetleWings and LeafWings.

Qibli and Kinkajou will be Darkstalker's downfall.
Think of it. They are the only two dragons in all of Pyrrhia that are protected from Darkstalker's magic, and it is shown Kinkajou can harm Darkstalker. Qibli may kill Darkstalker in his new spotlight too.
  • Partially confirmed.

The Scorching was just as apocalyptic for the dragons as it was for the scavengers.
For a dominant species and a decent-sized continent, the dragons' population is oddly small—the largest settlements seem to have populations only in the hundreds or low thousands, and this is five thousand years after the dragons claimed the world, and have no real rivals besides each other. Whatever happened during the Scorching, it likely devastated both species and decimated their populations. This could also explain why not much seems to be known about this period, despite the dragons having writing and historians.

Ivy and Holler are the same person.
The blurb for Dragonslayer reveals that Ivy, one of the protagonists, is the daughter of one of the humans who killed Queen Oasis.
  • Word of God has confirmed that Holler's real name is Ivy, and she was the daughter of one of the humans who killed Queen Oasis.
  • Confirmed by Word of God and Dragonslayer.

The NightWings will invent democracy.
They're a highly literate, free-thinking group who like trying out crazy new concepts, and have seen firsthand the failures of a monarchy system. Education + disillusionment with absolute rulers + some level of economic ease (like they have in the rainforest) = has historically equalled democracy.

It would also contrast them with their Foil species, the day/sun-themed SandWings, who used the Eye of Onyx to take an equal but opposite solution to the same problem: meritocracy.

"Animus insanity" isn't real; it's all natural causes
The most notorious cases of animus insanity have completely non-magical reasons to flip their shit. Albatross's magic awakened in an incredibly gruesome and traumatic experience that his sister held over his head for the rest of their lives - he finally snaps and starts killing people when she taunts him about how he'll never be free of her because he can never make up for what he did to Sapphire. Darkstalker was raised constantly reading his parents' minds, which were full of their fighting over him and Whiteout, and also only got noticeably evil after his mother was "killed" by the IceWings. Anemone's kind of a brat, but she's also the result of an Heir Club for Women situation that's resulted in literally dozens of spare princes. Animus users tend to be more jerkish as they get older and use their magic more.

None of those situations need to involve animus magic eating the user's soul to make sense. They can all be explained by "normal" cases of The Dog Bites Back, and the incredible power of animus magic corrupting as even non-magical power does. If you can do the sorts of things we see animus dragons do, why would you bother treating normal dragons as equals? (This is also an alternate explanation for why the IceWings are essentially free of animus insanity. With such limits on their use of their power, IceWing animuses don't get corrupted by it because they never have the chance to use it selfishly or personally. One major work "for the good of the tribe" isn't going to make IceWing animuses see themselves as that different from the average dragon, or give them that much power - there's something cool named after you, but it's controlled by the queen, not you.)

Diamond enchanted Arctic.
Arctic's personality and relationship with Foeslayer when they first meet are vastly different from the majority of "Darkstalker." At the end of "Runaway" we can see shades of his more bitter self after he kills the IceWing guards and escapes the Ice Kingdom, even growling at Foeslayer when she expresses concern about the state of his soul. Since we know how controlling Queen Diamond was of her son, and that she had no regard for the IceWing law of one enchantment per animus, could she have enchanted Arctic to become mean and resentful in the hopes that Foeslayer would eventually get sick of him and give him back?
