Act 2
- Deckerdramon's death in Canyon Land comes out of nowhere despite the reader's knowledge that it's going to happen. Just as you think the episode is going to end...He's hit and Xros Heart forms Victory King Time Seven to deal with his murderer.
- At the end of the Hell's Field Chess game, Tsuwamon throws himself into the line of fire of one of DarkKnightmon's finisher attacks to save Nene and Kotone from death. Shoutmon nearly goes grimdark as a result of it.
- Shoutmon pulls another Heroic Sacrifice, throwing himself in the way of another of DarkKnightmon's attacks so that Akari can live on. She's rather upset about it, and her Heroic BSoD afterwards lasts up until Taiki regenerates for the first time.
Act 3
- Taiki pulls off yet another Heroic Sacrifice, preventing Astamon from shooting anyone else, but getting critically wounded in the process. Sally takes him up into space where he can regenerate safely- although that allows her to be caught in the cross fire and forces her to regenerate as well.
Act 4
- Marcus and Piedmon land a Mutual Kill on each other. Marcus is seen as dead by everyone else at that point, but meanwhile, in another timeline, he wakes up in an underground village, and manages to survive long enough to fall in love with a blue haired, blue eyed girl who lived there. They have a kid, but she dies in childbirth. Years later, he finds Taiki and Sally's newly regenerated selves, who have a severe case of Identity Amnesia. He barely has enough time to tell them stories of who they once were before he dies of the wound that Piedmon landed on him in the first place.
