* HeinousnessRetcon: In ''Series/TheBigBangTheory'', Sheldon reveals that he always knocks three times because he accidentally walked in on his father, George, having sex with another woman, suggesting that he was a cheater. In the final season of ''Young Sheldon'', we find out that the other woman was his mother, Mary, who was wearing German clothing and a wig and was roleplaying, so Sheldon assumed she was another woman since it was in the dark and he couldn't see.

* ArtisticLicenseMedicine: Early in Season One, Sheldon claims that Missy cannot kick him into the testicles since they have not descended yet, with Adult Sheldon later informing the viewers they did eventually descend when he was fifteen. This is extremely unlikely to happen in real life, since unless an infant boy's testicles descend spontaneously until he is six months old (in most cases they do so still ''in utero''), they need to be surgically moved to the scrotum, which usually happens when the boy is around one year of age.

** George Coooper Sr. canonically passes away in 1994. If the series timeline remains constant at one year per season[[note]]Season one takes place in 1989, season two takes place in early-to-mid 1990, season three seems to begin in mid 1990 and end in mid 1991, season four covers the rest of 1991, possibly going into early 1992 and season five picks up where season four left off; covering the rest of 1992[[/note]], this will most likely occur sometime in season seven.
