Burning Body (ES: El cuerpo en llamas) is a 2023 Spanish miniseries, written by Laura Sarmiento and directed by Jorge Torregrossa and Laura Mañá. It stars Úrsula Corberó, Quim Gutiérrez, José Manuel Poga, Isak Ferriz and Eva Llorach.
Taking place in May 2017, the corpse of a police officer, Pedro, appears burned inside a car in the Foix reservoir, in Barcelona. The incident quickly arouses the interest of public opinion, especially as the investigation reveals a network of toxic relationships, deceit, violence and sexual scandals involving Pedro and two of his fellow colleagues: his partner Rosa and her lover, Albert. The fictionalized events are inspired on the true story from the Urban Guard crime.
It was released worldwide by Netflix on September 8, 2023.
