"Oh, I get it. Just because I'm rude and obnoxious and untrustworthy and pushed someone off a cliff, you don't trust me?"
— Selah Vy

No Sleep (abbreviated as NSRP) is a text roleplay that draws significant inspiration from various webcomics and musicals. NSRP has two main plots, each involving a different set of characters that occasionally interact. The first plot, known as the "A-Plot" involves thirteen children who run away from home in the wake of teenage Maria "Ardi" Doi's escape from an organized crime ring; the second, known as the "B-plot" or "Paisquad" involves the ghosts that haunt their new home and how they came to die years earlier. In a 2022 retcon, the cast of the B-plot became living parental figures to one of the A-plot's main characters, and the ghosts were replaced with the "C-plot" cast of ghosts, all young hospital patients.

NSRP has been running since 2018 and has gone through many changes, but fundamentally stays the same at its core.

Tropes in this roleplay include:

  • Action Girl: Most of the characters in Paisquad qualify, although 'girl' is applied loosely. As a contract killer and acrobat, Rae is a particularly obvious example.
  • And I Must Scream: Callisto and several other characters are implied if not outright stated to be trapped in Ciro's basement, witnessing his atrocities after death and at his mercy as ghosts.
  • Break the Cutie: Between being possessed, tormented by Selah, and abused by Ciro, Ardi is constantly subject to a Trauma Conga Line.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Cassie appears serene when she goes into a blood frenzy.
  • Everyone Is Gay: While many of the characters are confirmed queer and in .
  • Flatline Plotline: Happens to Paiyan in the B-plot when she overdoses on caffeine and Ardi in the A-plot when she is crushed under a building.
  • Nobility Marries Money: JJ and Alanys's marriage of convenience, at least nominally, although it's actually a scheme so JJ can avoid this exact trope.
  • Team Mom: Maryam, due to gender dysphoria and issues at home, acted as a mother figure to both Wes and Ardi. Alanys also takes care of the other members of Paisquad, who are more prone to injury.
