The group is nearly crushed in the third level of Death-T, a room with falling blocks. Kaiba is disappointed that they'd die here, but Anzu's dancing lessons pay off, enabling her to see the pattern the blocks fall in. As Honda helps Miho and Yugi, his shirt becomes trapped between two blocks, and he's seemingly crushed to death. Yugi and his friends mourn his loss, and Yugi reveals that he has another self inside of him that he doesn't know anything about, and feels guilty for dragging his friends into this mess. Jonouchi assures him that no matter what, they're still friends, and they came along with him to show that. Reassured, Yugi asks Jonouchi and Miho to look for Honda, as they're sure he isn't dead. Anzu goes to cheer him on in the final matches.
Mokuba goes to face Yugi, wanting to prove to his brother that he can be a gamer even though Kaiba bet against Yugi losing to him. He faces Yami Yugi in Capsule Monsters, but is defeated partially to his own arrogance. As punishment for losing, Seto forces Mokuba into the experience of death penalty game, but Yami Yugi saves him. Mokuba wonders silently if Yugi can restore his brother's lost kindness. Meanwhile, Ryou finds Jonouchi and Miho and wordlessly points out an hourglass that's filling with water. Yugi's grandpa and Honda are trapped inside, and Ryou disappears immediately after...
