Yugi's duel with Pegasus concludes. Now utterly alone, and with two turns to go before annihilation, Yami Yugi contemplates surrendering the match. But a vision of Solomon Muto reveals to him that Yugi is still alive, kept safe by his friends' bond. When Pegasus tries to read his mind, Joey, Tristan, and Tea keep him out by force.
Yami Yugi manages to turn the duel around by moving Relinquished to his side of the field, then tributing Jigen Bakudan and Dark Magician to summon the Magician of Black Chaos. When Pegasus's control of Relinquished is restored, he fuses it with the Thousand-Eyes Idol to create the terrifying Thousand-Eyes Restrict, which paralyzes all enemy monsters permanently and possesses Relinquished's monster-absorbing powers.
Pegasus moves to control his Chaos Mage... and Yami Yugi activates Multiply. Thousands of regenerating Kuribohs swarm the monster, blinding it due to how they explode on contact. With the paralyzing spell gone, Yami Yugi attacks and defeats Pegasus, winning the match and restoring Yugi. Utterly broken, Pegasus flees the arena unnoticed. While Yugi and his friends search for him, Yami Bakura plans to find Pegasus first and add his Millennium Eye to his collection...

- Oh, Crap!: Pegasus when Magician of Black Chaos is summoned and again right before Yami finishes him off.Pegasus: Not him! Not him!
- The Power of Friendship: The bond of his friends allows Yami to block Pegasus from doing anymore mind reading.
- Precision F-Strike: In the Japanese version, Pegasus shouts "God damn!" in English when he realizes that Yugi used Mystic Box to swap out the Relinquished-bound Dark Magician with Pegasus' Jigen-Bakudan, which will self-destruct and take out Relinquished.
- Suicide Attack: Using Kuriboh to cripple Thousand Eyes Restrict does cost Yami Yugi 300 of his remaining 400 life points, but he considers that a worthwhile sacrifice in the name of crippling Pegasus's monster.
