Dojo senses another Shen Gong Wu, and this one happens to be in Texas as well. Clay's initially happy to be back home in Texas, but then he and his friends run into the Black Vipers, the most notorious all-girl biker gang in all of Texas. And it just so happens the leader of the gang is Clay's younger sister, Jesse Bailey, who Clay never told the others about.

Tropes

  • The Big Race: The Xiaolin Showdown in this episode is a motorcycle race between Clay and Jessie. Jessie drives off the track, plummeting to her doom, until Clay lassos her offering to let her ride his bike. She then kicks Clay off his bike and reaches the finish line first.
  • Brawn Hilda/Lady Looks Like a Dude: Jesse is this—Raimundo lampshades this by saying that Jesse basically looks like Clay if he wore makeup.
  • Cain and Abel: While Clay refuses to fight her, Jessie is pretty ruthless to him in return and seems to care little for his safety.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Jesse's prone to this. She gets better.
  • Commonality Connection: At one point in the episode, Clay and Jesse realize that they do actually have something in common: they both share a common hatred for Jack Spicer.
  • Dudley Do-Right Stops to Help: Instead of easily winning the race after Jessie drives off track, Clay stops to help his sister. He quickly comes to regret this when she betrays him once again.
  • Gambit Pileup: Jessie and the Black Vipers work with Jack Spicer to double cross the Warriors, and then they double cross Jack to keep the Shen Gong Wu for themselves.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: Omi, thanks to the Changing Chopsticks, shrinks down to enter a keyhole and picks the lock of the cell the Black Vipers imprisoned them in.
  • Parental Favoritism: According to Jesse, her and Clay's parents were like this towards Clay, although he tried justifying it by claiming that he only got things first because he was the oldest.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: Omi, as usual, has trouble understanding the intricacies of modern language.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Clay and Jessie have a big one, stemming from the unfair treatment they received from their parents when they were kids.
  • Unusual Euphemism: Another thing Clay and Jessie have in common is their appreciation for strange sayings.
Kimiko (to Clay and Jessie): Will you two please stop butchering the English language?
  • Wanting Is Better Than Having: Jesse beats Clay in the showdown of the episode, but her accomplishment in finally beating her brother at something doesn't feel as satisfying as she thought it would. In the end, she sends all the Shen Gong Wu that she won back to the Xiaolin Temple, with the exception of the Wings of Tinabi.
  • The Wild West: Texas is very much depicted as this.
  • Wouldn't Hit a Girl: Raimundo suggests that Clay simply beat up his sister in a fight, but Clay refuses to do so, reminding him that he can't bring himself to actually beat up a girl.
