Ryan, a lawyer, is planning to kill himself by taking a whole bunch of pills. However, his suicide attempt fails because it turns out the pills (which came from his sister Kristen) were fakes. As he tries to figure stuff out, he's greeted by his new neighbor Jenna and her dog Wilfred... who appears to Ryan as a man in a full-body dog costume and speaks with an Australian accent.
