While preparing for a Best Dressed Station contest, Percy is spooked by mysterious happenings at an old mine that he believes to be caused by "naughty gnomes".

- Abandoned Mine: Percy doesn’t have to go down it, but he frequently passes one at night. The mine itself is collapsing, and Percy sees the tower and then the empty warehouse sink into the ground, which frightens the life out of him.
- The Gadfly: Donald and Douglas become this when they tease Percy about naughty gnomes who cause trouble, which poor Percy falls for.
- Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Alec Baldwin doesn't give Donald and Douglas their Scottish accents in the US dub.
- Our Gnomes Are Weirder: Donald and Douglas tease Percy about the mine by mentioning "naughty gnomes" that cause mischief. When Percy sees garden gnomes fall out of one of his vans, he mistakes them for the naughty gnomes and runs away.
