Thomas wants to perform opera like Lorenzo and Beppe, but finds it a lot more difficult than he first thought. Unfortunately, his attempts accidentally lead to him losing his voice just as he has a message to deliver.

Tropes:

  • An Aesop: Try not to get carried away when practicing opera singing, or you will lose your voice.
  • Camera Abuse: At one point when Thomas tries to sing opera, his voice breaks the camera lens as a result. It is at this point that Thomas strains his voice.
  • Dreadful Musician: As we learn here, Thomas is downright horrible at opera singing.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: As a result for singing too much, Thomas loses his voice.
  • Lost Voice Plot: The second half of the episode becomes this when Thomas loses his voice thanks to his horrible opera singing.
  • Visual Pun: Thomas' opera voice causes an old house to collapse and the camera lens to break. You could say that Thomas' opera voice brings down the house and breaks the fourth wall.
