Bait-and-Switch: Jackson appeared to declare his feelings for Kimberly using a study session in his dorm room as an excuse, only for him to pair her up with the nerdy Fred, who happens to have a crush on her.
Clingy Jealous Girl: Whitney is confused and apalled when Canaan asks her to be his girlfriend, as she thought they were already dating. As a result of being misadvised by some Kappas and fueled by her jealousy of Zoe, Whitney takes the chance to go through Canaan's phone, after he hands it over for her as it kept falling out of his Santa suit pocket. She finds a text from Zoe ("Hey, thanks for meeting up with me. I know you're with someone, but I wanted you to know how I feel") and angrily confronts Canaan about it. He's upset that Whitney invaded his privacy, clarifying that he only met up with Zoe to tell her about Whitney and amicably reject her. Despite Whitney apologizing and promising it won't happen again, however, Canaan feels that their trust is broken and decides to put an end to their relationship.
Comically Missing the Point: When Jackson tells Kimberly that Fred doesn't usually has a shot with "girls like you". Kimberly initially takes it as an insult ("short and chatty"), but Jackson actually refered to her as "hot".
Everyone Has Standards: Leighton disapproved Whitney's decision to go through Canaan's phone just to prove if he was cheating with Zoe.
Internal Reveal: At Kappa, Leighton is outed as a lesbian by Natalie, one of her flings, by revealing that she gave her chlamydia, and refused to own up to it to save face.
The Matchmaker: Jackson tries to set Kimberly up with the dorky Fred. He later explains to her that he's the one who asked him to because guys like him don't usually get a chance with hot girls like Kimberly.
