Bradford is rushed to the hospital after collapsing as a third terrorist attempts to attack the police. Nolan and Bradford take her out as it's revealed he was merely suffering an allergic reaction to the vaccine. A Time Skip occurs in the aftermath of events with the revelation that Bishop has left the LAPD to join the ATF and Nolan has moved from his beach house into his own home.
Meanwhile, the rookies take their exams and they score 97%, 93%, and 84% with Nolan and Chen assuming West scored the highest between them. It is actually West who scored the lowest. The rookies team up and proceed to take down a group of robbers attempting to impersonate the LAPD to steal an armored car full of confiscated drugs as well as cash.
- Aborted Arc: Whether or not Jessica executed one of the terrorists who was surrendering. Also, Bishop's plot with her brother.
- The B Grade: West scored a passing grade but it is considered to be unacceptable by his superiors as it was barely above passing.
- Humble Hero: Lucy and Nolan both assume that they could be the lowest scoring officer.
- Impersonating an Officer: The criminals steal a bunch of LAPD uniforms in order to carry out a heist.
- Put on a Bus: Bishop leaves the show to take a new job. Justified by the story from the previous season where a formal reprimand ends her career prospects.
- Time Skip: The episode skips ahead two weeks after the events of the season finale.
- Western Terrorists: The opening has the protagonists deal with the last of the terrorists.
