Buttercup is beside herself when she's promoted to Advanced Math class. The Derbytantes brush her off as a "math nerd" while her classmates call her "Math Queen." Fed up, she throws her math book in the trash, but after a kid drops an unstable isotope into the same can, a monster emerges: Isosceles, a monster triangle that turns everyone into numbers then absorbs them.

- Here We Go Again!: At the end, the kid who dropped the isotope in with Buttercup's math book drops another highly volatile chemical in the trash with a history book, an army of Napoleonic soldiers marches in.
- Heroic BSoD: Blossom blue-screens when she finds out she's not the best in math.
- Hidden Depths: Buttercup is so good at math she can do advanced calculations in her head with little effort.
- I Just Want to Be Special: Blossom does not take the fact that she's not good enough to get into advanced maths when Buttercup is too well.
