This review contains examples of:

  • Disobey This Message: Discussed with the Be An Original PSA see below.
  • Fridge Logic: Invoked:
Critic: But here's the thing: their tagline is "Be An Original." So wouldn't that technically mean not listening to what the TV is telling me to do? It's kinda like a weird Zen riddle. If I do what the TV tells me, I won't be an original. But if I DON'T do what the TV tells me, I'll be following everyone else. ...God I wish I had some drugs.
  • Fun with Subtitles: The Critic adds aggressive subtitles/translations to R2-D2's bleeps and bloops.
  • Mondegreen Gag: Invoked. The Critic mishears certain lyrics in the "Drugs, drugs, drugs" song as "There's lots of other drugs, that are sure to have a paw." and "Let's struggle with the law."
  • Narm: Invoked. The Critic considers Pee-Wee talking about crack to be absolutely hilarious.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Invoked. The Critic considers Snake this.
  • Nobody Calls Me "Chicken"!: The drug dealing bully in the second spot falls into this, asking the kid, "What are you, chicken? Bawk bawk bawk!" The Critic laughs and claims no real bully actually does this.
  • Rule of Three: Snake scares The Critic three times with his sinister "Yesssssss!"
  • Stating the Simple Solution: The Critic starts the episode by giving a very quick, concise, and to the point PSA of his own... then asks why that's so hard for people to do.
  • Twist Ending: A few of the PSA's have them.
