Go To

The fortieth episode of the first season of the 2007 revival series of The Magic Roundabout.

Tropes featured in the episode:

  • Ahem: Seeing that Dougal is trying to get out from doing the housework chores, Florence clears her throat to get Dougal to come back inside and help.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Florence, as well as Dougal, didn't know that the rubbish bag had a hole in it. When Zebedee made the rubbish bin disappear as Dougal comes to throw the bag in the bin. The hole was made bigger when Dougal tossed it to what he thought there was a bin there.
  • Lazy Bum: Dougal attempts to get out housework chores at the beginning, until Florence calls him back and asks him to take out the rubbish bag. Unknown to Florence though, Zebedee made the rubbish bin disappear as Dougal dumps the rubbish bag where he thought the bin was. By the time Florence came out with another rubbish bag, she is understatedly disgusted and annoyed when she sees the other rubbish bag dumped there and sets out to find Dougal so she can tell him off. Right after Dougal saved her from a "flying saucer", she decides not to give him a piece of her mind.
  • Mistaken for Aliens: When Fly is feasting on a discarded food in a tin, Zebedee uses his magic to crumble the tin up, trapping Fly inside where he hovers around in it everywhere, trying to get out. This is where Dougal, Brian and Dylan mistake it for a flying saucer and they took refuge in Brian's house. When Florence and Ermintrude arrive looking for Dougal, they don't hesitate to tackle the "flying saucer" to save Florence. When they catapult it towards the sky, Zebedee rebounds it back, freeing Fly.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Lampshaded. While looking for Dougal, Florence tells Ermintrude that he is slightly in trouble with her for dumping the rubbish bag next to the bin and that she is going to give him a piece of her mind. However, this was not needed when Dougal defends Florence from the "flying saucer".
