Littlefoot has to take a longneck leadership test by his father, while Shorty tries to lead the rest of the Gang during an adventure.

- Even the Dog Is Ashamed: Spike shows his disapproval for Shorty's poor leadership. He briefly shares an angry look with the rest of his friends when Shorty once more takes the wrong direction as they are heading back home.
- Leader Wannabe: Shorty wants to prove that he is ready for the big longneck test, hence why he tries to lead Littlefoot's friends on an adventure. It soon becomes clear from the start that he has none of the leadership skills of his younger half-brother.
