Conveniently Interrupted Document: David finds a multi-volume diary detailing the process by which a scientist actually turned someone else into a Hulk-like creature, and cured the condition...but the volume with the actual process is missing. It's revealed that Del - who was the person who had been turned into that creature - had hidden it.
Heroic BSoD: David suffers through one when Frye!Hulk spitefully destroys the last remaining sample of the cure. All David can do is bitterly cry, even as he Hulks out. Even the Hulk is briefly disoriented by David's BSOD, along with being surprised to see another creature like him. Frye!Hulk uses that to his advantage as he attempts to give the Hulk a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown...(which is a No-Sell due to the Hulk being far stronger) until the younger creature snaps out of it and turns the tables on him.
Oh, Crap!: David has one of these when reviewing the notes of the scientist who'd inadvertently given Del the ability to turn into a Hulk-like creature. The scientist notes that the creature is extremely violent and cruel, and in his opinion that is because of the inherent personality of the subject. David immediately gives Del, whose back is turned, an extremely worried look.
