Recap / The Dukes Of Hazzard S 3 E 7 Baa Baa White Sheep

Go To

Sorrell Booke in a dual role as both the corrupt Boss and his honest brother, Abraham Lincoln Hogg, in a tale over land inheritance and sharing.

Tropes present in this episode:

  • Always Identical Twins: Boss and Abe.
  • Fake Guest Star: Sorrell Booke, although he played a dual role: His normal Boss Hogg, and as Boss' twin, Abraham Lincoln Hogg.
  • Honest Corporate Executive: Boss Hogg's White Sheep twin brother (a One-Shot Character) has spent years traveling across South America, and made several fortunes from oil wells, cattle ranches, emerald mines, and lumberyards. He gives all of his money to charity almost as fast as he makes it. At the end of the episode, he even gives away his car and hitchhikes out of town.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Boss is corrupt as Abe is to good.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Although Abe Hogg had never been referred to beforehand, the Duke family is surprised when they see him, especially since they remark they thought he had died years earlier. (Boss and Abe had been estranged, and naturally Boss used this to his advantage by having him declared legally dead so he could profit on Abe's share of an acreage the two had inherited, and Boss would sell it for a huge profit.)
