Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 080

Go To

Rentarou and the girls are hiking up a mountain together when a sudden storm separates everyone. After the storm subsides, the girls partner up with members who washed up together with them.

Kusuri and Chiyo argue over how they should look for the others until Kusuri gets knocked out pushing Chiyo out of the way of a falling branch. Yamame helps Iku over a cliff, and the latter leaves to fins help for the former. Yaku and Naddy discuss each other's ability to continue forward. Momiji gropes a steamed bun as she and Kurumi are walking, causing tension to develop between them. Eventually, Kusuri regains consciousness and starts carrying Chiyo on her back, Iku has found a tree that Yamame can use to climb up the cliff, Naddy gets winded trying to keep up with Yaku, and Momiji lets Kurumi eat her steamed bun before groping her chest.

All the girls soon manage to regroup at the summit, with Rentarou rounding up the last three, but it's still cloudy despite Rentarou having set up an array of teru-teru dolls. Hakari suggests making out as a way to invoke Finagle's Law and bring clear skies to the mountain. They succeed in clearing the skies, but they don't even notice.

Tropes:

  • Be Yourself: Naddy reverts to proper speech when alone with Yaku due to the fact that it's just the two of them and Yaku can't understand her when she speaks like she normally does. Yaku notices and assures Naddy she's just fine being her usual self, even if Yaku can't follow her every word, and doesn't need hold back for her sake. Naddy dons her stetson she becomes ready to take on the world.
  • Bridal Carry: Rentarou carries Hahari, Mei and Mimimi like this - at the same time.
  • Finagle's Law: Invoked in Chapter 80 via Reverse Psychology. Rentarou and the girls make out on the summit in order to bring clear weather to the mountain.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Kusuri performs a non-lethal sacrifice when she pushes Chiyo out of the way of a falling branch and gets hit instead.
  • Scenery Censor: When Meme's bangs are blown away by strong wind, Nano offers to use her own billowing hair as a cover.
  • Shout-Out: Naddy compares Yaku to Master Yoda. In the same chapter, Momiji mentions "The North Wind and the Sun".
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Mei attempts this against an incoming monsoon, only to get dragged away by Hahari and Mimimi.
