Beast Boy neglects all his responsibilities, leaving the other Titans to raise his baby chick.

- Parental Neglect: Mostly on Beast Boy's part with his responsibilities to raise his chick.
- Shout-Out: The title of the episode may refer to the Harry Chapin folk song, "Cat's in the Cradle", which is about a father who isn't always around for his son.
- What the Hell, Hero?: The Titans give Beast Boy hell for being a neglectful parent.
