• Can't Get Away with Nuthin': When the Titans resort to cheating in dodgeball, they initially make it to the finals to rematch H.I.V.E.... But the moment H.I.V.E. calls them out for cheating, the Titans are quickly eliminated in their gloating when their foes complain.
• Cheaters Never Prosper: The Titans resort to cheating when they lost to H.I.V.E. for the second time in dodgeball, but they failed the third time.
• Disqualification-Induced Victory: After losing to H.I.V.E. one last time, Robin decides to use one last resort: Call the police to arrest H.I.V.E., leaving the Team Titans as the winners by default.
• Jerkass Has a Point: The male Titans were pretty condescending towards the females when denying them from playing dodgeball, and the suspension was a bit prolonged. The reasons for sitting them out initially, though, were valid; Starfire ate the ball, and Raven ate the opponents when she got eliminated.
• Mythology Gag: The girls, acting as the Team Titans' cheerleaders at first, sing a song that's a dodgeball-themed parody of the original Teen Titans opening.
