As Sonic and Sally travel deeper into the Death Egg Mk II, they find that Eggman's attempt to change the reality of Mobius was just the beginning, as he reveals a terrifying and familiar weapon that will affect their current world.
With time running out, they may only have one shot to stop Eggman's dastardly plan.
For that to happen, however, someone will have to pay the ultimate price for the fate of all Mobius.
Trope:
- Bottle Episode: The issue takes place entirely in the new Death Egg.
- Cliffhanger: The Genesis arc ends on a rather bleak scene. Though Sally destroys the World Roboticizer, it requires her to be within range to invert and and overload its energy. As a result, to Sonic's horror and Eggman's delight, Sally emerges as a Robian once more.
- Continuity Nod: This isn't the first time Sally is roboticized, as shown way back in #29.
- Heroic Sacrifice: With Sonic too busy with both Silver and Metal Sonics, it leaves Sally and Nicole as the only ones left to stop the World Roboticizer. Nicole's handheld is destroyed with her transfered back in New Mobotropolis, while Sally is roboticized after overloading the system.
- Oh, Crap!: Sonic tells Eggman that his World Roboticization plan is moot as an alien he ran into, on his space trek back to Mobius, made sure no one is susceptible to it after reversing the process. He and Sally are shocked when Eggman claims that the Genesis Wave was meant to take away that immunity.
- Status Quo Is God: Sonic's Chaos Control changed everything back to normal after the end of the Genesis arc. As an added bonus, he is brought back seconds before Sally is gunned down by Eggman, allowing him to save her.
- Wham Shot:
- The heroes find a familiar-looking chamber, only much bigger, and displays a holograph of their very planet inside. Eggman reveals it to be a Roboticizer designed to turn everyone outside of the Death Egg into robots, and destory all electronics in the process EMP-style; including cyborgs and robots like Bunnie, Sonic's robot father Jules, and most of his Legionnaires.
- After the explosion caused by Sally and Nicole, Eggman finds that he is still flesh, hinting that not everyone in Mobius has lost their immunity to Roboticization from the Genesis Wave.
- The story ends with Sally emerging from the wreckage of the World Roboticizer, now a Robian herself once again.
