Summary: With Bowser's power at unforeseen heights, his right to live is placed in the hands of his friends and the BS Society. Ganondorf's plans shift as well; in addition to hunting down Lucario, he meets with President Dedede himself.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Dramatic Stutter: One that Deteriorates Into Gibberish, where Pit sees Ganondorf approaching, when not too long ago, he had attacked Bowser's home and caused the whole situation to begin with. Pit is too terrified to speak, causing Falco to pick up his slack to question why he's even here after the incident.
  • A God I Am Not: Bowser. Although his Ascent Mode now extends to Giga Bowser, he believes that it's just another example of God screwing with him, and just wants to live a normal life.
  • Imagine Spot: Two in this episode: the first is Wario imagining Bowser ruling the world with his newfound power (and thus dramatically altering the status quo), and the second is Squirtle imagining a scenario where Bowser escapes from prison.
  • I Want Them Alive!: At the start of the episode, Ganondorf ordered a squadron of R.O.Bs to take out Lucario. Later on, Ganondorf changes his mind and orders the robots to bring Lucario back alive.
  • Mass Super-Empowering Event: As a result of Bowser rejecting the Creator's power, it spreads across the world and makes everyone stronger. This has the unintended side effect of boosting Ganondorf's power, as well as awakening Ridley.
  • Mistaken for Imprisonment: Due to a variety of complicated factors, King Dedede elects to place Bowser under his custody until he decides what to do, but also does it for his own safety. However, once word gets out to Saffron City, all of Bowser's friends and allies not in the know arrive at the BS Society headquarters believing that Bowser had committed a crime. Charizard is the most broken up about this, blubbering how and why his best student ended up being arrested.
  • Not Supposed to Be a Punishment: The BS Society notes that Bowser's custody is for his own safety, especially after Ganondorf's attack the previous night, along with how his own existence has thrown the world's balance into question. However, due to what they learned that night, things are too complex to simply let Bowser walk off scot-free despite him not technically committing a crime.
  • Too Much for Man to Handle: Bowser expels all of the energy pent up in his Ascent Giga Bowser mode, sharing it with everyone in the World of Brawl...including Ganondorf and Ridley.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: One of the Yoshis invading Bowser's home notes that he doesn't own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, saying that he's not a real gamer. The episode was released three years after the game originally came out, with the most recent game in the franchise at the time being 2011's Modern Warfare 3 and the series was preparing to release Black Ops II. Lampshaded in a Freeze-Frame Bonus message that says "Goes to show how old this script is."
  • Wham Shot:
    • After Ascent Giga Bowser unleashes his energy across the world, which also affects Ganondorf several miles away. This spread of energy also awakens a character who potentially can stand up to Bowser himself: Ridley.
    • Once things settle down and Bowser falls unconscious due to the energy overload, it reveals Mario, Peach, and Bowser had been most directly affected. Mario gets new gold clothing, likely related to his Ascent Mode, Peach gets the first hints of obtaining hers, and Bowser's body takes on a color scheme similar to Dark Bowser.
  • Wrong-Name Outburst: Peach accidentally calls Mario "Bowser" while the two are out on a date. This further drives a wedge in their relationship.
