Spyro is introduced to Jet-Vac's wall of eggs that he keeps in his bedroom, meant to remind Jet-Vac of all the times he has shown fear, which lowers his self-esteem about being the team leader more and more. The team tries to show him what a great leader he really is to cheer him up, but Jet-Vac shoots them down, telling them that he doesn't deserve that honor and definitely doesn't need anyone else to take care of. Right at that moment, one of his eggs hatch, revealing a baby inside. Jet-Vac sees the act of raising this baby as him facing his fears and finally conquering it. But behind Jet-Vac's back, the baby shows its true evil nature.
This episode provides examples of:
- The Heart: Spyro is the one who listens to Jet-Vac's struggle and then gets the other team members in on the idea of trying to make Jet-Vac see his value as their leader.
- Staging an Intervention: The team fakes a team meeting in order to get a chance to hold this for Jet-Vac and tell him that his kid is evil.
