The Dream Café has opened on the street opposite Jerry's apartment but has so far failed in attracting customers. Jerry visits and sees why, the menu is a mishmash of different cuisines. Jerry convinces the Pakistani Babu Bhatt to remodel the restaurant into a Pakistani restaurant, which would be the only one in the neighborhood. This however fails too, and Babu Bhatt, now even deeper in debt, blames the failure on Jerry.
George's girlfriend Monica wants him to take a IQ test for her education course. Worried that Monica will not be impressed by the score he receives, George convinces Elaine to take the test for him. Her first attempt ends with a score of 85 after she is distracted by Jerry, Babu and Kramer while writing in the Dream Café. She begs George for a second chance and writes the test in Jerry's apartment, getting a score of 151. She is however too late to deliver the test to George after Kramer hides in Jerry's apartment to escape his mother's ex-boyfriend, who wants his jacket back.

- Irony: At the end of the episode, Jerry, George, and Elaine decide to go out to dinner. Problem is, Jerry wants Mexican, George wants Italian, and Elaine wants Chinese. Jerry then remarks, "You know what would be great?" as the episode ends, realizing that a restaurant that serves many different kinds of food would actually be pretty handy right about now.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Jerry's attempt to help Babu ends with Babu blaming the café's failure on Jerry.
- Restaurant-Owning Episode: Jerry (poorly) advises Babu about what he should do if he wants his restaurant to be successful.
