- Chekhov's Gun: More like Chekhov's Wardrobe as Nadia changes her top to a white blouse. This distinguishes herself from original Nadia. In addition, Alan receives a red scarf at Nadia's birthday party to distinguish himself from original Alan. This becomes important in the end as the timelines merge.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: Alan takes a picture of Nadia and Mike making out to send to Beatrice. Beatrice immediately sends out a couple of dozen text messages in the span of a few seconds from "Who is this?" to "Your kid hates you and now so do I".
- Oh, Crap!: Both Nadia and Alan have this simultaneously when they realize in their final loop that they're in separate timelines and are encountering their counterparts before their deaths started.
- Riddle for the Ages: In the parade towards the end, two other versions of Nadia, dressed like she was on the first loop pass by Nadia and Alan. No explanation.
- Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Nadia must prevent original Alan's suicide, which started his death loop.
