Recap / Rune Scape Dishonour Among Thieves

Go To

Zamorak needs your help to steal the Stone of Jas, and he has sent his general Moia to find you. You'll need to put together an elite team of Zamorakians with different skills and abilities, and lead them through fiendish traps and puzzles laid down by the slippery Sliske. However it's not all plain sailing as some of the team members notoriously don't get along so it'll be down to you to make the team work together and steal the stone without Sliske noticing.

This quest contains the following tropes:

  • Diabolus ex Machina: Whatever choice you make at the end of the quest, Sliske steals back the Stone and teleports away, leaving him mostly or entirely a Karma Houdini once again.
  • Enemy Mine: The premise of the quest has you, Zamorak, and a group of other Zamorakians you gathered set their differences aside and band together to steal the Stone of Jas from Sliske's possession.
  • Karma Houdini: After Nomad's backstabbing and attempt to grab a piece of the Stone of Jas for himself, Zamorak appears behind him, swats him and attempts to finish him off. Nomad teleports away before Zamorak can do so, infuriating him.
  • Insistent Terminology: Zamorak intends to reclaim the Stone of Jas, not steal it back from Sliske.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: It turns out that Bilrach is alive and well and is serving as Zamorak's right-hand man. What was initially presumed to be Bilrach's downfall following a certain strange power incident (dating back to Dungeoneering's pre-release), was actually the result of him sacrificing the last member of the Chelon-Mah tribe.
  • Stealth-Based Mission: A portion of the quest has you sneak past Sliske's wights and security masks as you make your way to the Stone of Jas in his hideout.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Zamorak absorbs some power from the Stone of Jas, regaining the strength he lost following his defeat at Saradomin's hands in the Battle of Lumbridge.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Should you opt to help Zamorak attack Sliske or leave him to attack the latter by his lonesome, a wounded Sliske will teleport away with the Stone of Jas.
