Duck is still reeling from the revelation that Mytho is afraid of Princess Tutu. She decides she can't bring herself to continue retrieving heart shards and bring him even more pain, so she decides to throw the pendant away. However, Mytho might need Tutu's help one more time...

  • Anxiety Dreams: In light of her recent experience in the previous episode, Ahiru has an unnerving dream of Mytho fearing a blankly smiling Princess Tutu as she returns yet another heart shard. All the while, Ahiru herself tries to talk her persona out of returning the heart if it hurts Mytho so, only to turn back into a duck. The dream ends with her tearfully and helplessly quaking as Mytho is forcefully giving his heart shard.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Mytho has once again regained his resolve to accept heart shards from Princess Tutu, regardless of the pain they may entail. However, Princess Kraehe enters the scene and intervenes the latest shard, posing as a nemesis and a threat to Princess Tutu's mission.
  • Constantly Curious: The heart shard discovered in this episode is the feeling of curiosity, and is always asking questions.
  • 7th Episode Twist: With the introduction of Kraehe, the story's tone begins to grow darker and more serious.
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Duck throws the pendant into the river, but she takes it back to become Tutu once more when she sees Mytho is in trouble.
