This episode provides examples of:

  • Absurdly Bright Light: Papi somehow shoots lasers into space from his eyes
  • Bait-and-Switch Compassion: After Alien gets smacked in the face by Kedamono, Popee puts his hands on his shoulders as if to comfort him. However, it turns out that Popee was doing this in order to suplex him.
  • The Münchausen: Papi spends the entire episode trying to get people to balance on the ball and criticizing them when they fail, only to reveal in the end that he can’t do it either.
  • Running Gag: None of the characters succeed in balancing on a beach ball for any significant length of time, but they all try it one by one.
    • Another one occurs with Alien where one of the three main characters dramatically smacks him (or in Popee's case, suplexes him) with tears streaming down their faces. While Papi and Kedamono at least had reasons to do so (for refusing to balance on a ball for the former and for refusing medical aid and smacking the medicine bottle away causing it to spill for the latter), Popee does it just because. Eventually Alien has had enough of the abuse and when Papi is about to smack him a second time for failing to balance on the ball, he points his gun at him.
