Recap / Popee The Performer S 2 E 4 Poison

Go To

Poison is the 17th episode of Popee the Performer, and the 4th episode of Season 2. The airdate is unknown.

Jealous after seeing Kedamono's superior athletic abilities, Popee finds a scorpion and hurls it at Kedamono. Unfortunately (for everyone), his actions come back to bite him.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Blood from the Mouth: This happens as Papi dies from the poison he ingested.
  • Forceful Kiss: Happens to Popee two times in one episode.
  • Incest Subtext: Papi is way too eager to lock lips with his underage son.
  • Kafka Comedy: Popee is violated twice, but it’s played off as funny.
  • Not Quite Dead: Papi seems to be dead, but he erupts from the spot he was buried to get revenge on Popee.
  • Revolting Rescue: The whole ‘sucking out the poison’ thing doesn’t seem pleasant for anyone but Papi.
  • Social Services Does Not Exist: Papi goes way over the line and kisses his child twice in this episode.
