A Zapdos has appeared in Vermilion City, prompting Goh to try to catch it in a Raid Battle.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Although it took a few hits, Zapdos essentially does this to every Pokemon it faces from Goh, Ash, and Team Rocket. To be expected from Kanto's most powerful electric legendary.
- Curb Stomp Cushion: Goh's Raboot and Flygon teaming up managed to get some hits in and Goh even managed to get the Zapdos into his Pokeball twice, but the bird always broke out before it was registered.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: During the battle between Ash and Team Rocket, the battle suddenly cuts over to Goh on the roof where you see Team Rocket blast off. You never get to see the attack Ash and Pikachu do that send them blasting off.
- Took a Level in Badass: Raboot learns Blaze Kick during its battle with Zapdos.
