A trip to the Pewter Museum leads to Goh coming across a fossil excavation and deciding he wants to revive a fossil Pokémon for his next capture.
- Breaking Old Trends: Goh is the first main character to catch a fossil-restored Pokemon, an Aerodactyl.
- The Drag-Along: Chloe ends up literally dragged along with Ash and Goh to the Pewter Museum.
- Exotic Eye Designs: The Museum Director gets these whenever he hears about a possible adventure. He may or may not be the excavation leader from episode 14 who also has the same reaction to adventures.
