Flash and his friends begin their first day of traveling through Ghastly Gorge, but they quickly get stuck in a maze of tunnels.
- Don't Wake the Sleeper: On their way, Flash and his friends encounter some sleeping Burroworm and try being as silent as possible so that they don't have to confront them. Unfortunately, they all wake up when Pinkie Pie sneezes.
- Ill-Timed Sneeze: Pinkie Pie sneezing wakes up multiple sleeping Burroworms and get swarmed.
- The Maze: Ghastly Gorge is a maze of tunnels and canyon walls, which makes it more difficult for the group to get out of it.
- Mythology Gag: Pinkie's Jigglypuff will perform Face Doodling out of anger on anyone that falls asleep during its song, just like the Running Gag with the original Jigglypuff from the anime.
- No Sense of Direction: Since they initially couldn't read Stone's map, the group has to guess their own path out of Ghastly Gorge. This predictably leads to trouble with aggressive Pokémon.
- To Be Continued... Right Now: Said verbatim in the narration when the group gets attacked by Burroworms.
