Recap / Numberjacks S 2 E 19 More Ways Than One

Go To

Four, Five, and Six are in the gym, preparing to do a trick for the three eldest Numberjacks: everyone goes into a circle drawn on the ground in a different way. Five slides and Six jumps, but Four says, "I can't do that!". Five points out that since everyone has to do it differently, he isn't supposed to do what they did. Four tries to claim that there are no ways left but he accidentally slips into the circle. Then, the alarm sounds and they go into the control room.

Agent 27 reports the problem: a girl is putting her coat on while lying down. Six sends Four out, claiming that the latter is "good at doing things in unusual ways". After Four is launched, Five tells him to be careful of strange goings-on and Agent 63 reports a man walking weirdly down the street. Then, Agent 18 reports a gardener digging with her shoe and her glasses. Then, the Puzzler appears.

The Puzzler reveals that he has trapped Eight in a bubble and that he is indeed the one causing trouble. Seven, Nine, One, and Two then enter the control room. Five tells them what's going on and imagines what else the Puzzler might get up to. The Puzzler then sets a challenge for those in the control room: make eight three different ways.

Agent 63 points out that a way of making eight is adding two numbers together. Seven decides to start with her number and asks what adds to eight. Three says, "One", so Seven adds her and One's buddy blocks together. They then put those blocks into the brain-gain machine.

After the brain-gain is sent, Two wants to help with the second way of making eight. Six suggests that he add his buddy blocks to his own, but Agent 27 thinks that it isn't different enough because it's still addition, so Two groans and the Puzzler makes a woman drink her drink with one foot in the air. Nine makes eight by subtracting one of her buddy blocks. After this information is sent via brain gain, the Puzzler makes a boy ride his bike backwards.

Two wants to help with the third way of making eight, but they cannot see how he could do it. The agents have a suggestion: multiply himself, which he does, using his buddy blocks and Six's. Eight is saved and the Puzzler leaves. Everything is put back to normal and Four and Eight go home.

After the episode recap, Eight rolls into the circle and Four asks the viewers how to make his number.
