Recap / My Little Pony 'n Friends E58: "Flight to Cloud Castle 1"

Go To

Heart Throb, Locket and Twilight are playing tag in the sky, where they are almost hit by a giant bird flying past at speed. On the ground, they see a pointy-eared fellow named Garth, who was chasing the bird and, on seeing that they have wings, implores them to help him chase a flying castle. As he explains, his true love Ariel lies within this fortress after her wizard father enchanted her to fall asleep until someone dedicated enough to chase the thing down can reach her and kiss her awake. He's very insistent, but Heart Throb, ever the romantic, is eager to help, and the other two tag along.

After a song and a long flight, the group finds the castle floating over the clouds near a group of peaks. When they try to approach it, though, the fortress quickly flies away, moving to swiftly and nimbly for them to overtake. After settling on a cliff and bickering over what to do, they decide to corner it by approaching from multiple directions. This works as planned, but they try to land they're quickly chased off by two guards — a burly merman in the moat and fire-slinging salamander in the towers.

The group tries a third approach, this time lassoing the castle's tall minarets. Once they've got the castle securely gripped, however, it begins to spin rapidly around itself, sending the group flying off into the sky. As they speed rapidly towards a mountain cliff and the clouds close over them, the segment ends.
