The Legend Cup has gone to Most, and the disheartened Searchers vow to try again next year—even though Holly feels she can't wait that long after coming so close. Meanwhile, Poison, Mum Mew, and Gobi attempt to steal the Winner's Plate while Most is asleep, but all their attempt results in is telling him they need it to revive Moo.
Most decides to give the Searchers the Plate and the Magic Stone, feeling it's safer in their hands than with the baddies. They bid him farewell and head to a Shrine, but are attacked by Durahan in his Iron Bird, finally learning who's been hounding them all this time.
The Searchers escape Durahan and reach the Shrine. They focus their thoughts to unlock only Holly's father and not Moo... and at first it appears to have worked. But on further inspection, Holly realizes her father has no memory of who he is—or who she is.
This episode contains examples of:
- But Now I Must Go: Inverted. Most gives the Searchers his ship and sends them on their way. It's implied that he would go with them, but that would go over the iron bird's weight limit.
- Internal Reveal: The Searchers finally learn it was Durahan who was attacking them the entire time.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Holly's father has no memory of anything after being revived.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: the Baddies' attempt to steal the Magic Stone from Most ends up convincing him to give it to the Searchers.
- We Will Meet Again: Before the Searchers depart for a shrine, Mocchi tells Most that he wants to fight him again some day. Most replies he'll be looking forward to it.
