Chaud opens a petting zoo. However, after seeing the cruelty of Inukai, the animal trainer, promptly fires him. Slur pays Inukai a visit to take out his frustration.
- Bad People Abuse Animals: The conflict of this episode. Inukai engages in whipping the animals to tame them even when un necessary. This gets him fired and after receiving Asteroid Beast Man from Slur, mind controls the animals to get revenge on Lan and Chaud as well as terrorize the city.
- Equipment Upgrade: This episode marks the debut of the Progress PET, which comes with battle chips inside, and a 3D holographic screen.
- Friend to All Living Things: Played straight and inverted. Lan, Chaud, and the zoo director don't take kindly to Inukai's abuse of the animals. When the animals are free of Inukai's mind control, they approach Lan and Chaud in a passive but unafraid manner.
- Identical Stranger: When Mega Man and Proto Man come face to face with Beast Man, they're in disbelief due to deleting the Darkloids. Slur tells them its an Asteroid Navi.
- Mythology Gag: This episode is basically the berserk zoo animals chapter from Battle Network 3.
- Primal Fear: Cornered by the animals, Chaud takes Lan near a fire knowing animals don't go near them.
