Per Iris' request, the group travels to the Dimensional Area Laboratory where Trill was created. Zoan Yamato Man ambushes them en route.
- The Cavalry: The Chief asks Dr. Hikari for the Synchro Chips, wanting to enlist the Cross Fusion members to fill in for Lan, Chaud, and Laika's absence.
- Continuity Nod:
- Ice Man gives Zoan Freeze Man's communication device to Sci Lab to boost their transmission device.
- A man gives Mayl and Chaud a boat ride telling them of Blackbeard hogging all the water and getting overthrown, restoring the river.
- Lan mentions Baryl removed data from Colonel. Tadashi Hikari informs them that he removed Colonel's kindness and personality data per Baryl's request and used it to create Iris.
- Downer Ending: The episode ends with Baryl arriving at the Dimensional Area Laboratory and with his last breath before passing out, tells Lan and Iris Colonel is gone. The next episode reveals he was infected by Gregar and is now the canine cybeast's top henchman.
- Fusion Dance: Beyondard Tadashi Hikari informs the group that the whichever Cybeast wins will absorb the other and become an all powerful beast, which Beyondard Dr. Wily is using to resurrect himself.
- Good Counterpart: Implied by the failed dimensional area experiment showing a Beyondard version of Dr. Regal who wanted humans and navis to co-exist. When other scientists warn him viruses have invaded the computers, he at least has the sense to order the other scientists to cancel the experiment and turn off the generator.
- Missed Him by That Much: The episode begins with Lan, Dingo, Laika, Trill, and Iris leaving the village. Later, Mayl and Chaud arrive and Pat tells them the others were here but left that morning.
- Mythology Gag: The Beyonard scientists working on the dimensional area experiment from the footage resemble Battle Network 6's NPCs.
- Wham Shot: Iris is shot by one of Zoan Yamato Man's soldiers. After the battle, Iris disappears and is replaced by a Copybot which vanishes into thin air. When they arrive at the Dimensional Area Laboratory, they learn that Iris is not only a navi, but she and her navi are one and the same.
