Summary:

While Shiguru and Takamichi discover another Granterstone, they notice a woman being pulled into the air in a manner akin to fishing. Meanwhile, as Mabushina, Juru and Sena are an an aquarium, Mabushina's potential curse begins to take effect.

Tropes:

  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • The poster stuck on Fishing Rod Jamen clues Shiguru in how Fishing Rod Jamen is fishing people out of thin air.
    • The whip-sword Shiguru conjures in the beginning of the episode is used to fish out Reversia out of the MOTW's hands.
    • The ampullae of Lorenzini sharks are noted to have becomes crucial in the next episode by making it one of the newly christened Mashin Zabyun's powers.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Kiramaizin at the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle from Motorboat Basra and unable to deal with its speed without Mashin Jouki/King Express, while Mabushina calls Takamichi out for abandoning his teammates in trouble in favor of presenting her the second Kanaema Stone they obtained.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Oradin instantly defeats Numajo without problem, but not without its consequences, namely with Mabayuine being afflicted by her curse.
    • The Kiramagers find themselves on the receiving end of this with Motorboat Basra stomping on Kiramazin.
  • Flashback: An extended one occurs when Fire tells the story of how Mabuyuine got the curse that Mabushina is afflicted with.
  • Foreshadowing: Galza mentions that Takamichi can be "quite the fool". Then we find out that he manipulated Takamichi to get the Kanaema Stones by himself, thus leading to the fall of Crystallia.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: The preview for this episode contains a shot of Queen Mabayuine, King Oradin and Takamichi defeating a monster, making it look like some revival was probably going to happen. This is actually a flashback.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode's title is a reference to the 1994 movie Hare, Tokidoki Satsujin. note 
  • The Reveal: Galza manipulated Takamichi all those years ago to gather the Kanaema Stones by himself, thus driving away his sister and leaving behind Crystallia. It's heavily implied that because he wasn't there, Crystallia instantly fell to Yodonheim.
  • Spotting the Thread: Shiguru quickly realizes how Fishing Rod Jamen is fishing civilians out of thin out by using Reversia, by recognizing the poster from yesterday and the weather for today.
  • Wham Episode: The episode has Mabushina's curse come into play, Numajo and her sister Minjo fully revealed, and the reveal that Galza manipulated Takamichi to gather the Kanaema Stones by himself all those years ago.
  • Wham Shot: Two, in the same scene.
    • A bunch of red beams coming at Oradin reveal a red and black version of Numajo that's actually her younger sister, Minjo.
    • Numajo rusting the Aqua Kiramai Stone with her venom.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Takamichi once again finds himself on the receiving side of it by Mabushina when he leaves the Kiramagers to deal with Jamen Beast.
