Lu's dad notices that her favorite dinosaur boots are starting to get smaller on her. Lu, reluctant to get rid of them, insists on wearing them anyways. As the two go over to Declan's dad's cafe, the quality of the boots slowly starts to decrease until they finally fall apart, and a heartbroken Lu is forced to admit that they are no longer able to be worn. Declan teaches her that while growing out of things is hard, her boots don't completely have to go to waste.
