The Super Squad bands together after the Necromancer's next move unleashes more than anyone bargained for. Meanwhile, a run-in with Ethan reminds Josie why she doesn't trust herself with magic.
Tropes:
- Cranium Chase: After Landon punts the Necromancer's severed head off the football field, his body spends a long time searching for it.
- Heel–Face Turn: In the end, Alyssa makes the right choice and helps to stop the Necromancer. She even forgives Jo for killing her.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Lizzie has finally realized she may have feelings for MG, but by the time she decides to act on them, she sees MG kissing Alyssa. Surprisingly, she accepts it with grace and admits she shouldn't have expected him to wait for her forever. She says to Jo that she is happy for him.
- Internal Reveal: A unique variation as Alaric decides not to compel Mac but let her remember all of the supernatural events happening and decide to help out.
- Megaton Punch: Malivore!Landon gives one to the Necromancer on the football field.
- "Not So Different" Remark: MG tried to pull this on Alyssa, but she explains that him being rejected by his parents is not the same thing as her being accepted by her parents and then her accidentally incinerating them. Still, it does get set her on the path of redemption.
- Oh, Crap!:
- The Necromancer's reaction once he realizes that Landon is possessed by Malivore.
- When the Necromancer runs into Malivore in the woods near the end of the episode, he is horrified to see that the golem no longer has his mark on its forehead, meaning it's free of his control.
- Out with a Bang: After Hope and Landon escape the prison world they consummated their relationship unfortunately after they do so Landon dissolves into an pile of black goo which has lead to theories Hope will experience a pregnancy in future episode since Malivore is notable for wanting to continue his bloodline.
- Season Finale: Technically, as this was the episode that was originally planned to be the Season 2 finale before the COVID-19 pandemic forced production of the show to shut down early.
- Their First Time: The morning after the musical, Hope decided that she's finally ready to consummate her relationship with Landon. While it was previously known that Landon is a virgin, the episode reveals that Hope is too.
