Carlin is trying to withstand eating the apple in front of him. The workout is interrupted by Wally, who misunderstands what Carlin is up to and eats the apple. Carlin is not amused, explaining that he was trying to train his willpower. Olga puts a freshly baked pie on the porch of her house through a telescope. Carlin also notices the pie and tries to convince himself that he doesn't want to eat it. He imagines himself eating a pie, but suddenly realizes that he has eaten it for real. Olga and Rosa take out a new pie and notice that the first one is gone. When asked, Carlin does not admit his act and runs away, pretending he's "losing weight".

Dokko saw everything happen through a telescope and is very surprised that Carlin did not say the truth. When found walking around in the forest, Carlin admits that he is a completely weak-willed animal, but still he will have to confess and decides to head back to Olga's house. On the way, he offers to pretend that he played a prank on everyone, but after thinking about it, he refuses this idea because such a joke won’t seem funny. Dokko suggests saying that the reasons that prompted Carlin to eat the pie were of a philosophical nature, and he ate it because he wanted to. Carlin likes his idea because he showed willpower this way, but almost immediately runs away from shame.

At night, Carlin and Dokko break into Olga's house. They decided to bake a new pie, telling Olga that it was lost somewhere, and they found it. Carlin is looking for ingredients in the cupboard, but notices five more pies on the table. He tries to convince himself again that he doesn't want to eat them, but suddenly Dokko slips on the crushed jam and causes a wreckage. This wakes Olga up, who sees Carlin eats the rest of the pies. He confesses that he was the one who ate the pie. Dokko applauds him for finding the strength to admit his guilt.

Tropes:

  • Blatant Lies: When Rosa asks Carlin where did the pie go, he replies that he doesn't know, and can't eat pies because he's trying to lose weight.
  • Tempting Apple: The episode begins with Carlin training his willpower on the apple. It ends as soon as Wally enters the scene.
  • Thought-Aversion Failure: Carlin tries not to eat Olga's pies, telling himself that he definitely doesn’t want to eat them. He fails to control himself and eats them anyway.
