Summary
Ikki and Ryu find Suzu and the Smash corner Kaido, with Ikki telling her to stop. Suzu explains her motives: her fiancé, Shogo Ueshima, was a scientist researching monster DNA, intending to use his findings for justice. His line of work caught the interest of Fenix, but at the same time, George Karizaki was also scouted for his work concerning the Vistamps and animal DNA. Shogo's work was pushed aside in favor of George's, not helped by the fact that his father had a hand in helping Fenix; this rejection caused Shogo to overwork himself to death. Suzu found him dead and continued his research in order to get revenge on George, but ended up getting exposed by Ikki.Ikki tries to talk Suzu out of her plan, but the lady uses two of her stamps to summon a horde of Inves and Worms. In response, Ikki and Ryu transform to fight the monsters. Kaido transforms into the Snake Orphnoch to aid Kamen Riders Revi, Vice and Accel in the battle, but jumps in front of Suzu to defend her from a random attack from Vice. Having grown a soft spot for his guitar student, Kaido lets her take his Orphnoch DNA, collapsing after she completes her extraction while Suzu induces the final sample into her Oblivian Stamp as Revi watches helplessly.
With the Oblivian Stamp completed, Suzu stamps it on herself, subsequently transforming into a hideous monster with enough power to overpower the three Riders while threatening to kill George after she defeats Revice. Ryu resolves to save Suzu from being consumed by vengeance, as does Revi, while George tosses the Eagle Vistamp to him. With the new stamp in hand, Revi and Vice assume their eagle forms to continue the fight while Accel accesses his Trial form and Hiromi/Demons enters the fray to fight the Smash, eventually defeating it and Hanawa with the Condor Vistamp's power. Revi and Vice, with assistance from Accel, assume their Eagle Remix form to engage and defeat Suzu, destroying her Oblivian Stamp in the process, before Ikki saves her from falling to her death. As Ryu moves in to arrest an emotionally broken Suzu, Ikki tells her to use her fiancé's research to protect people's happiness while Kaido quietly limps away from the scene.
Some time later, Ryu and Genpachiro visit Ikki's family spa, reassuring Ikki that he did the right thing while Hiromi discovers Suzu rejected his romantic proposal and George confirms the Oblivian Stamp's destruction to Ryu as the Futo Police superintendent makes his leave. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, George had copied Suzu and Shogo's research into his personal thumb-drive...
Tropes
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Vice advises the audience at the start of his recap that it will be the last recap of the mini-series... then starts to protest as the camera zooms out from him that the episode proper has yet to start.
- Continuity Nod: A minor one, but the fact that Ryu and Genpachiro recognize each other implies that the events of Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Chaser are canon to The Mystery.
- He's Back!: After being sidelined by injury in the previous episodes, Hiromi comes back and defeats Hanawa in his Stretch Smash Hazard form.
- The Knights Who Say "Squee!": George and Genpachiro can't help but marvel at Eagle Revice and Accel working together.
- Motive Rant: Suzu goes on to rant on why she wanted to complete the Oblivian Stamp and defeat Ikki: to seek revenge on George for getting accepted into Fenix while her husband, Shougo, was pushed aside and later worked himself to death.
- Mythology Gag: In a clear call back to Kamen Rider Double, Revice uses the Eagle Vistamp and Demons uses the Condor Vistamp, representing Double and Joker respectively.
- The Stinger: George is shown downloading Ueshima's research right after the credits.
- You Can't Thwart Stage One: Kaido, smitten with Suzu, decides to voluntarily give his Orphnoch DNA to her, allowing Suzu to complete the Oblivian Stamp before Revi, Vice and Accel can stop her. He survives the ordeal.
