In which Lexi learns more about Ogami's origins, Silent Taillow is introduced and loose lips say too much.

  • The Atoner: Discussed: Samantha wants to be this, but her ability to do so is limited, and she's not interested in Death Equals Redemption for valid reasons. Any amends she makes has to be with what she's genuinely capable of which is through donating her collection for future passengers.
  • The Bus Came Back:
    • Ignis and Larkspur reappear as spies investigating Ben and Dahlia.
    • Gard and Julie return in Hammerlocke.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Lexi and Amelia are thrown to learn that the Apex avoided the Pirate Car, apparently on purpose.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The Sushi Restaurant Car that Ben and Dahlia go for their date.
  • Revealing Cover-Up: The fact that Ogami cut off Infinet Access while he's in the Train Museum Car convinces the group that there's something important to him in the car that he doesn't want Vox to know about. And the rooms that Ogami has destroyed gives Lexi several leads to explore.
  • Shout-Out: During the Silent Taillow test, Lusamine and Rose discuss the Stargate movie and series. Rose prefers the series.
  • Smug Snake: Ben and Dahlia, which serves Ignis well...trying to one-up each other loosens their lips and leads to Ben accidentally revealing that he has Tomas in his car.
  • Thread of Prophecy, Severed: Turns out this is part of Ogami's backstory: He was originally the prophecied final boss of an RPG-style car, but he went rogue and left the car before the prophecy could be fulfilled.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Goh is attempting this, training with Romsca and learning how to fight and defend himself without his Pokémon. However, he acknowledges that he'll never take enough of one to last in a straight fight against Ogami, and focuses on defense and speed for the moment.
