ZodiaCamp: The 2nd Divine Generals Assembly

It's time for another Divine Generals Assembly. And to minimize distractions like what happened before, Anila suggests one venue she thinks fits the bill, camping in the wilds. Main problem, nobody has a lick of an idea on how camping works and even failed to consider the weather.

With their pride crushed and wanting to live up to their predecessor's reputations, the Divine Generals decide to learn the basics of camping, which Sierokarte overhears and suggests going to Groz Island for practice.

Tropes

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Downplayed. While it's very much doable in real life, Huang didn't know that there were simpler ways of starting a fire besides rubbing two pieces of wood on each other.
  • The Atoner: Parodied. Andria and Kumbhira are remorseful about using loads of wood for their sauna tent experience when they see the rest of the crew needing to chop logs as the amount of wood dwindles.
  • Breather Episode: The event is mainly just the crew going out for camping. Even the enemies they face are just "chopping wood" and "putting out a bonfire".
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Ryan feels left out from the twenty-sevener campsite since he assumes it's a girls hangout party. At the end of the event, Sig asks why didn't Ryan bother asking to join in, since the campsite isn't actually gender-exclusive. To his credit, the rest of the girls didn't know either as they pointed out that they could have invited the others who are twenty-seveners like Percival and Seofon as well as anyone else aged 27.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Anila chose camping to avoid any potential distraction like what happened at Alohas. She didn't take account on how much everyone knows about camping and hasn't checked the weather beforehand, causing their first attempt to end in a total failure.
    • While Europa, Gabriel, and Sandalphon intentionally started a blizzard to get the crew to work together to start a bonfire, they forget that an uncontrollable bonfire is just as dangerous.
  • Innocently Insensitive: The Divine Generals took it hard after being called "sheltered", causing Vyrn to apologize how insensitive he was.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Due to the Cidala sisters being the newcomers, they're the only crew members that are unaware about Vikala's private identity, assuming she's just a fan. It's not until they scared the living light out of her that they find who she is.
  • Mundane Utility:
    • Subverted with setting up the tent. The Cidala sister suggests using their hammers to drive in the pins, only for Sierokarte to step in saying that it's the angle of the pins and not the force and depth that allows the tent to stay up.
    • Also subverted with chopping up wood. At one point, Vajra uses her Charge Attack to chop wood, only to get pelleted by wood chips. She subsequently goes back doing regular wood chops until they had enough.
  • Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training: Due to leaving all of the mundane tasks to the others, the Divine Generals, even with Vikala and Catura already having some experience, find their survival skills to be lacking.
