Recap / Granblue Fantasy And You

Go To

...and you.

One day in Zinkenstill, one child is bedridden with a fever with Vyrn, Xing, and unknown person taking care of them... at least in a dream world.

In the real world, the crew found themselves in a panic with the Captain going down with a fever, probable cause most likely of supernatural origins. As they figure out what caused this, they realize that something more disastrous would take place.

  • Alternate Self: Due to the nature of Orologia's simulations, it's inevitable that there's going to be many of these characters:
    • Xing (who is better known as Seox in reality) is sent to live in Zinkenstill before tragedy happened to his clan. As a result, he doesn't grow up with the Shrinking Violet habits his real self has.
    • Regarding to the change in monster numbers, the "increase monsters" world has Vane killed off much earlier in his life while the "decrease monsters" world has Albert turning to a more barbaric route.
    • When it comes to Akasha's existence, the "concealing its existence" route has Silva still in the Imperial Army and enemies with Tweyen, while the "seal strengthening" route has Katalina as the Lord Commander of Albion trying to stop the island from being massacred.
    • With investigating instability, the "unstable true dragons" world has Scathacha become more haughty and bloodthirsty, while the "unstable life-forms" world has Lennah assimilating her victims to Jinkazouki.
    • The world of investigating weapons has Narmaya wielding a demon blade and becoming a serial killer, while the world of investigating medicine has Nehan doing illegal experiments for the mafia.
    • An alternate set of Six Dragons show up, behaving much like the characterization of the actual Six Dragons in their first appearance. While they're more destructive, they're also weaker as it only takes three of the actual Six Dragons to take them all down.
  • Foreshadowing: To restore Nectar back to normal, the crew has to cut everything except for the core. At the end, the crew saves Orologia due to the Captain separating their core from the dragon body.
  • Interface Screw: In the first part of the ending, the Captain recalls Orologia's request to do what they need to do. A fake button pops up going from "Pierce the core!" to "Reach out!" as it happens.
  • Internal Reveal: Ewiyar reveals her identity as such to the crew during the middle of Nectar's slime mess.
  • Ludd Was Right: This is Orologia's main focus during the second part of the event, to minimize technology for the sake of increasing the Sky Realm's life expectancy.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • Nehan normally is not supposed to leave Stardust Town due to his agreement with the Suo family. Rei's concern for the Captain is enough for them to create an exception.
    • The Six Dragons in their mortal forms are not so silly regarding the Captain's fever. This is enough for the rest of the crew to expect danger coming along.
  • Outside-Context Problem: This is one of the few problems Orologia has with their simulations, some of them because they genuinely Didn't See That Coming, others being that the potential enemies scaling up at a quicker rate than the Captain could ever fight back.
  • Sadistic Choice: Orologia faces many of these as some parameters they tweak end up having worse results than normal. The biggest one being that sealing off Astral tech would lessen the odds of world ruin, at the cost of smaller societies like Medvecia being permanently cut off from the outside world.
  • Super-Empowering: The Six Dragons allowed the Eternals, Mugen, and the Captain to tap in to the power of the boundary to fight against Orologia.
  • Too Dumb to Live: The Captain under the care of Orologia is too kind and merciful. No matter how much training they have gone through, that kindness shines through and contributes to an early death.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom:
    • With Orologia filling in as the Captain's parent, the Captain no longer needs their dad, turning them much softer and more likely to be killed off. This realization forces Orologia to cut their losses on nurturing the Captain and focus elsewhere.
    • As more simulations are made, Orologia finds themselves unable to keep them control, eventually leaking them into reality.
  • You Can't Fight Fate:
    • One of the first few things Orologia learns is that the Captain will always be born and that his father would eventually leave no matter what.
    • Double subverted in part two of the event. While Orologia is capable of tweaking aspects that would change the world's fate, all of them end with worse results, causing them to deliberately play some key elements that happened in the real world to avoid such scenarios.
