• Crazy-Prepared/Genre Savvy: Lexi wises up from witnessing Miko memory wiping their parents by threatening her with video evidence of her Glitch Tech escapades.

• Expy: The stealth-based video game Five plays is very clearly a nod to Metal Gear Solid, with a main character looking very similar to Snake who sneaks around a military base and hides in a box.
• Insistent Terminology: When Lexi dismissed her winning trophies in video games as "imaginary", Miko argues back that it's "virtual".
• Meaningful Echo: Upon being threatened by Lexi showing her video evidence of her Glitch Tech escapades, Miko tells her younger sister that blackmailing her is a violation of their "sibling code". Later on during the fight against the Master, Miko tries to get her to back down in fighting the glitch, but Lexi refuses even saying that she is going against the "sibling code" much to Miko's shock.
• Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Miko's parents hear Ally crashing around in Miko and Lexi's room but they ignore it.
