Chapter 56: Mothers
After years of grieving, Muko finally visits her mother's grave.
With the Cookie Crumble Match over, Muko finally comes to terms with her mother's death. For her part, Kalita wakes up after the match and is surprised by the news that Cookie gives her.
- Badass Teacher: Kellie Kardigan is a Cyclone Crusher and a karate black belt. As such, she knows how to teach it to kids, taking Fidah as her student.
- Continuity Nod: Muko has bandages on her arm since Nyarai scratched her back in Chapter 47.
- Exact Words: Shun agreed to save Yoko Orphanage should Kalita lose the match. Though Kalita tried to win rather than throwing the fight, Shun still saves the orphanage because Kalita lost the fight against Sephario.
- Friend to All Children: The Cyclone Crushers are happy to babysit the kids at Yoko Orphanage. Jowdie hugs two of them and Kellie Kardigan swears to teach Fidah karate.
- The Glomp: Daikarin hugs Kalita after she sees that Kalita woke up from her two-day coma.
- I Gave My Word: Shun saves the Yoko Orphanage by paying the debts. Even though Kalita tried to win the match, her defeat against Sephario meant that she fulfilled her part of the bargain.
- I Know Karate: Kellie Kardigan knows karate and is willing to teach it to Fidah.
- Last-Minute Hookup: During the two days where Kalita was unconscious, Daikarin and Cookie fell in love after the former helped the latter to deal with the pain of losing the Cookie Crumble Match. They even offer to adopt Kalita, who agrees at the end of the chapter.
- Pet the Dog: Despite Kalita defying him, Shun still saves Yoko Orphanage because Kalita lost against Sephario. He even got the Cyclone Crushers to act as babysitters by rotating shift.
- Tears of Joy: Both Cookie and Kalita shed tears of happiness when Kalita agrees to be adopted by Cookie and Daikarin.
- Time Skip: Kalita was unconscious for two days. The second half of the chapter deals with her waking up and realizing what happened on those two days.
